Stacey discovers she is pregnant. She tells Bradley on Christmas Day that Archie Mitchell raped her and is the father; Archie is murdered that night by an unknown assailant. Stacey and Bradley agree to say that the baby is theirs to avoid suspicion over Archie's death, and marry on 18 February 2010, but Becca, who moves in with the Slaters, feels left out of Stacey's life. Becca reveals the rape to Archie's daughter Ronnie, and Ronnie tells Stacey that Archie was infertile due to chemotherapy, meaning he could not have fathered her child. A jealous Becca then secretly calls the police and tells them that Bradley had a motive to kill Archie. Bradley and Stacey attempt to flee Walford, but Bradley is caught by the police and he falls to his death while trying to escape them. Max pulls a distraught Stacey away from Bradley's body where she admits that she had killed Archie. Stacey flees without informing anyone where she is going; however Max tracks her down and confronts her. He takes her to the police station to confess to murdering Archie. However, Max has a change of heart and instead takes her home, telling Stacey it is not what Bradley would have wanted.
Believing that Ryan is the real father of the baby, Stacey writes a letter to tell him, and puts it into his bag when he is not looking. When she finds out that Ryan has not left and has rekindled his romance with Jannie, she appears at his flat and secretly takes back the letter when he is in the kitchen, probably deciding that it would not be a good idea to tell him about their child.
Stacey continues to work on the stall with Becca right up until her eighth month of pregnancy, when having endured false labour she is told by her family that she needs to start maternity leave. Stacey is initially receptive to the idea, but within a week returns to work after becoming frustrated being left in the house alone all day. Ryan soon begins to take an interest in her, buying her gifts. She is left surprised, however, when he kisses on her, and tells him him never to come near her again. She is further annoyed when he helps build the baby's cot. After finding a teddy bear on her doorstep that Ryan left, Stacey visits him but Janine tells her the kiss was part of a bet. Upset, Stacey goes to the park where her labour starts. Ryan finds her and calls an ambulance. During the labour, Stacey tells Ryan she fears the baby will die as punishment for the terrible things the has done, and says she has blood on her hands. After the birth, she passes out from loss of blood. When she wakes up, Ryan hands the baby to her and leaves, while Stacey tells her daughter it is just the two of them and they do not need anybody else. However, she worries about breastfeeding because of her medication and thinks she will not be a good mother. After bringing the baby home, she decides to name her Lily.
